Gefðu mér Premiered

“Gefðu mér” is a choir piece (SATB) commissioned by Kór Akureyrarkirkju to a poem by sr. Svavar Alfreð Jónsson.  It was premiered in Akureyrarkirkja in March 2019 as a part of choir festival in the area.

String quartet no. 2 – premiere

A new piece by Arngerður, String quartet no. 2, was premiered September 10th of by the highly acclaimed Icelandic quartet; Strokkvartettinn Siggi.  This new piece is in two parts and is inspired by poetry of Aðalsteinn Ásberg Sigurðsson.

Active Umbra

Umbra has been quite active in year 2019; working on two albums and playing a lot of concerts. They visited the town of Akranes on the 19th of September where they played mixed program of ancient music from Europe and Icelandic folksongs. The new album will be out in November!
