Umbra has signed with the Finnish “Saura Booking Agency” where our wonderful Johanna Sauramäki runs the ship. Many exciting tours and opportunities are coming up, such as China, India, France, Germany and more.
Umbra went on a very successful concert tour to the Netherleands in March where they played concerts in Delft, Deventer and Rotterdam. The next tour to the the Netherlands is already on the drawing table for November 2023.
Two organ pieces, commissioned by Guðný Einarsdóttir organist in November, were premiered by her in November. Guðný played the pieces “Birting” and “Eyland” on the newly renovated organ at Háteigskirkja, Reykjavík. She has already recorded both pieces and they will be published in 2023.
I wrote a choir piece “Ave verum corpus” for the chamber choir “West Pier Voices”. It was premiered on the 25th of March in the St. Nicholas Church, Brighton. Recordings coming up soon…
